Good non restricted "AR" type rifle.

Funny thing about that though, Without the SLR would the MVS even exist. Before Maccabee was making up unrealistic timelines I remember when ATRS was not offering stripped receivers, I’m pretty sure I even remember a firm no to bare receivers. Mine went together just fine, took 8 months, but I didn’t have a single problem with assembly apart from triggers I knew wouldnt fit but had to try anyways. I will probably get a MVS when I get my stag done and they become more available. Could be a while though, at least their timelines seem much more realistic.

ATRS showed off their completed MS four days after MDI showcased theirs. MS was coming to market regardless. An Old Employee even posted on Facebook saying the MS was in development long before he even left. ATRS didn’t just hack something together when MDI surprised everyone. ATRS was well planned and well executed, I’m guessing they hurried their reveal when MDI posted their gun.

I knew about the MS before the SLR was anounced, actually I knew about it before I even got my first run MV.

ATRS simple made a public statement it was coming a few days after MDI announced theirs as a means to keep customers from going across the way and letting folks know there will soon be another better, cheaper option, that would end up delivering about the same time as the SLR.

I believe we had the Sporter in the design stages before MDI even existed and have been testing them long before MDI made any announcement, not that that matters at all. We have quite a number of projects also in the design or prototype stages that very few folks are even aware of outside the shop. We just don't tend to rush things and make it common knowledge until we KNOW it works and what sort of timelines are involved.

Why are people still arguing this?
The OP hasn't been back and probably doesn't care anymore.
There are lot's of good non restricted semi auto options out there, it's easy enough to read through a couple pages and figure out what's available and there are plenty of reports on all of them available in the stickies and the first couple pages of this forum.

Let's stop arguing about nothing.

what handguard is that?

Odin O2 lite 12.5”

Also to ATRS and everyone else. I knew about the all about the sporter. But not about it being sold as a stripped receiver. I remember people asking for incomplete rifles since the early Modern Hunter days. But it appears I was wrong and I stand corrected. My apologies.
