What a truly increadable bread on animal this is.

My buddy Bruno now 7 years old, over 700 retrieves (being modest) He did over 50 in one day in a group hunt! more like over 1000 to his credit, very agressive in the field, but better yet!

My wife has now qulified him as a pet theropy dog, kinda makes me proud of him! He visits old age homes every week with he accross the Oshawa area!
I went last Thursday and it was a good feeling, we all have soft sides as well! Nice to bring a smile to a persons face!

Really did not know where to post this?

Never mind those retrieves, its those brown eyes that get you every time. Gotta luv labs, mine sure likes to eat.

Awesome dog!

I just got a yellow lab a couple day's ago. I have a thread a bit down titled "My new buddy"

I would be interested to hear your input as to how you managed to train your dog to retrieve for you etc. I am wanting to train my dog to do the same thing.

Mainly for finding me Grouse in the bush, but also water retrieves as I have my own property with a lake surrounding it and I would like to get into waterfowel hunting with my dog next year.

Beautiful dog :)

JasonYuke take a bow my man. That's a way cool thing you are doing for the old folks.

I heard a doctor or such giving an interview on the huge bennefits that had been realised by a simimlar program in an old folks home. I mean we interact with animals, plants, nature etc. all our lives and to be shut in in a sterile environment without plants and animals does not do us good at the end of our lives. A study showed that by introducing an indoor garden and bringing pets in to visit the residents, many patients' health improved including curing depression, helping with dimentia (sp) and other issues.

You gotcher self one dandy pooch there too bud..

You've got to love the look in a labs eyes when they are on a retrieve. They just love to hunt.

Awesome dog
