Good place to buy M14 ammo?

SFRC carries bulk 7.62 NATO from time to time, you can get a case of 1040 for under $500. Just got a case recently, my M305 gobbles it up pretty good. Frequently check their site/posts on the forum, if some of the norinco stuff comes in it usually doesnt last to long. They also sell non milsurp ammo (MFS) you can buy it in bulk as well.......ok so SFRC is sold out of the above, just have to keep looking. I found that their pricing is better than Canada ammo.....and they are sold out as well. It does get pricey at $1 per rnd but reg old remmington core lok 150grn sp works well to get started. Pick that stuff up any where. Forget that prophet river had 380 rnd crates for under $300, still cheaper than $1 per rnd. Bought some of that as well. Had lots last week when i was there.

All you really need is about 200 non-American Eagle brass casings and you should be able to reload those 4 times each. The Federal blue box stuff reloads alright, and the Winchester PP stuff works. Personally I like the PRVI brass, maybe I'm ### or weird but it's rock solid for me.

If you're wanting to blast, remember that bi-metal stuff like MFS and Norinco will wear the chrome lining out of your barrel significantly faster than straight copper jackets, especially if you rapid fire a lot. You will save money by just buying the cheap ammo if blasting is your intention, but if you do get an accurate m305 I wouldn't fire that stuff through it, save it for your cqb rifle builds. The cost of a new barrel is less than buying 308 at $.90 / shot, so don't feel guilty if the gun shoots more than 2 inches at 100 yards with federal blue box 150g.

Decided on 308 Win, 147gr FMJ - $375.00/500 Rnds Sellier & Bellot from P&D. Going to split it with a buddy. I hear the brass is reloadable too, so that works for me.

Nothing wrong with that. These guns love the handloads, so don't expect a lot out of it, till them have fun blastin away.

Ryvax the S&B is an excellent choice at 375/500. I find it's as good as it gets in bulk FMJ. Appears to be nice brass for reloading though I haven't reloaded it. Primers seem a little softer than other's, mine pierced a couple when new, but maybe it's just my rifle. The Norinco 762 is 100% reliable in my rifle as well, the points that Rocket Surgery mentioned seem to have merit, if you happen to get nice shooter out of box.

love norinco 762nato, did i mentioned they have steel core bullet? most of them will give you nice 2.5 moa. about 2-3% of them may shoot off due to unstable powder load. The other problem will be their powder charge burns with more residues, that should not be a big problem if you service your m305 in time. No complaint about the pricem it's cheaper than reload, if you are not into high precision traget shooting.
