Good powder for 100/120 gr. bullets in 260 Rem.

Browsing Hodgdon's online data it looks like H4350 is a decent all-around powder for the 260. Benchmark produces good velocities according to their data as well, but I would have thought it would be a touch fast for the 260 Rem.

I think Reloder 17 is a popular choice as well. Varget would work well enough too.

The 120 Bergers and Sierra bullets showed great promise. With the hunting season approaching, I focused on other loads. The incremental loads were producing 1.5 inch groups at 200 metres with the 3.5 grain variation in powder charges.

Thanks guys, I did try some IMR 4350 and looked promising but ran out before I could do more testing. I just found that the powder didn't trickle well because of the long grains of powder. I have tried 414, varget and didn't work to well as for accuracy. Looks like 4350 might be my next purchase of powder although I sure wouldn't mind trying some other powders that were mentioned. I guess I'll see what's available. This rifle will be used for coyote hunting.

I have tested 4831 with my other 260 Rem. shooting 140 gr Accubond and was very pleased with the results for deer hunting...
