Good price for new TRW M1A Bolt?

Hey guys,

I've got a line on some new, in wrapper TRW M1A Bolts and the guy wants $500 for 3 of them (he's got a bag load of them) shipped to me. Is this a good deal?

Admins: I'm not trying to sell these, just asking an opinion on price :)

If he has a bag load I'd say his price for three is about $50-$100 too much. Also, are the bolts complete? Keep in mind that you can get new stripped bolts from anywhere between $75 and $100 and a new rebuild kit for about $50. Just my opinion but I have bought new stripped TRWs and rebuild kits for less than $130.
 
I've got an email in to him about their completeness.

I don't mind doing the rebuild. Do you mind me asking where you got yours?

I reload, and a I'd like to get my hands on a replacement bolt. Maybe my headspace would be better.

Just how are you guys locating bolts? I can't seem to locate any. :-(

The going rate for a New, complete TRW bolt is around $350.00 Cdn.:eek:

You have to know where to look to find them, and be prepared to do the export paperwork if you find them in the U.S.

The last one I sold for GG&FB went for $350.00 as well.

This was a brand new, complete TRW bolt.

New Stripped bolts are going for around the $250.00 to $275.00 mark.

Used Complete bolts in good condition are running around $250.00 ish.

Just think, a few years back, my USGI trigger,bolt, and op rod were bought for $360.00. FOR ALL!!!!:D

At todays inflated prices, I have around $800.00 to $900.00 in those 3 parts!!!:eek:

Face it guys, if you want to play in the M14 game, you are going to have to start digging around for parts and be prepared to pony up some serious cash.;)
