Good price on a Black Special Carbine?

Ive seen prices go down to $2500 on the EE but it sold very quickly
Also, I notice the prices
are a bit lower in Christmas time (November December) people looking for quick sale to
spend money on holidays, but things get snatched up quicker because it's the season to spend. Not sure if you care or it matters just an observation.

There is a reclassification issue going on with the Swiss Arms rifle. I reccomend you do some research before purchasing.

Thanks for the info everyone. As for the reclassification, thanks for the head's up, this one is a carbine so it's already restricted. Now, if they try and reclassify my Robarm XCR-M, then I'll start to worry :(

If it's reclassified the PE90 Swiss Arms will be reclassified as a variant of the 55X model which is prohibited by name in an OIC. Not restricted. In other words confiscation. Maybe some financial compensation but they don't legally have to. The flip side is maybe it will keep the 54X designation in which case we are all fine. But it's a big risk, especially for the kind of money the Swiss Arms rifles cost. You should be fully aware of the possibility and what it could mean.

It will be reclassify as "prohibited class" so you can't own it at all. Worse than your XCR been classified as "restricted "
And since its already "restricted" so your name is on the book and they know you own one
RCMP will be knock your door to get the gun

Sounds like you hasnt understand the whole story well enough.
But I am glad you ask so you won't be feel full of surprised after you brought one then found out the truth just like a member bit earily lol

Thanks for thr clarification. I wasn't even thinking prohib, that would be unfortunate. So, what would distinguish the SA Carbine then from other 14" barrel platforms that would catch there attention? ie: why would this be any more evil than a shorty AR or other close quarters platform?

Very unfortunate if they are going to reclassify
all SA rifle included 20" classic green black special
All carbine 14" or 17.1" and CQB will be into prohibited list

Don't ask why. It's politic it don't make sense at all I knew. As always

It was brought to the attention of the RCMP (by a dealer, of all people) that some of the SA rifles imported may be converted autos and not new manufacture semi autos as they were initially led to believe. Barrel length has nothing to do with it, the non-restricteds will get the same prohib treatment if the platform is reclassified.

Just out of curiousity, what leads us to believe they would confiscate reclassified prohibs vs. grandfathering in the owners?

There is no provision in the firearms act or criminal code for further grandfathering. To add more grandfathered owners would require new legislation and there is zero chance of that happening.

Not a chance. If you know what happened to BD38 and T97A owners

And I have been told by one of the ex-T97A owner. They were going to pay only $250 for the gun which worth $1500
but end up paying full in the end when peolep want to go to te court to fight it

So my opinion. Stay out of this mess until the whole thing clear up. Unless you can afford to lose $2750 no problem

Personally I am intestine in getting a SA carbine and converted to NR as well

And I almost get my tavor traded with a NR converted S/A carbine About 2-3 month before I knew this

And again almost get my SL8 trade with a 17.1" restricted S/A carbine about 1 week before I knew this

Both deal went off because the sellers were trying to get maximum bucks and didn't willing go down a littie to meet what I willing to pay

But seems god was trying to help me to get away from the sales and keep me out of this mess. :)

Not really a good idea considering the price tag

Strength in numbers. More people should buy them. All of our black rifles are one stroke of a pen away from being banned. I figure we've got two more years with them being somewhat safe with the current govt. but what has happened in terms of reclassification on the CPC's watch is disheartening. So if you want a Swiss Arms, but one and enjoy it. You may look back a few years from now and regret not buying one.

Well. He just need to know the full fact and he will make his own call

Seems he wasn't know the whole story before. I got feel now he is not going to buy it

Speak of the chance of ban. We should worry about pistol because Libreal was trying to ban all pistol on last election lol
