Hi there.

I've shot over 1000 rounds of the Norc 7.62x51 ammo. Although I have had near zero failures, I am starting to question the accuracy of round. Accuracy is questionable even out of my sub-moa bolt action.

Question is: Where can I find a "better" quality 7.62x51 nato round?

Thank you.

P.S If I had time and space I would be reloading!!!

P&D in Edmonton just got in some 165grn nosler .308 in cheap $18 per box of 20. If I wasn't shooting 175grn out of my 308 I would stock up

If you want the absolute best commercial, widely available go with match ammo (like Federal Gold Medal 168gr). Another alternative is Federal Premium Vital-Shok Game Kings, a match round loaded with a 165gr btsp. You can get them at crappy tire or a good gunshop.

Federal Blue Box 308 150g is the cheapest ammo that will get you accurate groups. The brass can be reloaded but I find the primer pockets come loose faster than Winchester brass.

The Winchester 150g bonded stuff you get at wal-mart is $19.99 per box and is pretty decent. Some people are hard on Winchester primers for being soft and hot and don't recommend you use them in the rifles. I have never had a problem with their factory ammo but I always use federal primers to reload

I don't bother buying match ammo for a semi-auto nor do I make it. Getting 1 inch groups out of a gun isn't that exciting, even if it's a $400 chinese semi

From everything I have gathered it is the exact opposite, where as federal primers are softer than winchester. Correct me if I am wrong.
