Next I will need some good quality rings. I have a picatinny rail and will be ordering my Night Force 5.5-22x56 NXS. What rings are best and what to stay away from?

With a rail, I would go with something like TPS rings (good quality at a good price, IMHO), or Leupold Mk4 or Nightforce rings. Badger ordnance as well.

Personally, I'd go with TPS rings - keep in mind that TPS lows are about the same as everyone elses mediums. These are TPS lows with a 4-14x44 menace - and as you can see, I would likely be able to fit a 50mm (MAYBE 56mm, depending on your barrel profile)

TPS makes a very good ring at a good price. Badger Ordnance doesn't ship to Canada. I think Wolverine has them but the price is outrageous. Mark 4's are good as well. Richard Near, nearmfg.com who I believe makes the best scope bases out there also makes outstanding rings. He is also out of Camrose Ab and has customer service second to none.

Seekin's Precision rings and bases are top notch. Not sure if they ship to Canada but if they do well worth it.

+1 for Near. They are on the expensive side but a very quality product. This isn't the clearest pic but you get the idea. And you can't beat the John Deere bolts!
