Good range bag?

CV32, if you wanna shoot many matches like I do, get yourself a backpack. Moving with heavy bag and holster with gun on and mags in, is cumbersome. I think this year I will buy a bag, my shooters tournament series, which by the way is the best bag is hard to carry up and down. Good Luck

Thanks. I can basically drive right up to the safety area at my range, so having to lug the bag around is not really an issue. Basically I am looking for a range bag that does a good job of keeping everything organized.

Whenever this comes up I vote for the CED bags. I got one free at the Barrie IPSC nats and it's still chugging along (8 years, 5 range trips a month average). I really like that it's lockable and obviously relatively sturdy. The 5.11 bags are a good value but they do not lock.

Looks like a very good bag, and I like the lockable feature, but the CED website is telling me that they cannot ship this particular product to Canada.

If you need a bag to keep your shooting gear organized, any large size bag will do it, however if you wanna get into action type shooting, where there is a lot of walking I would get backpack.

Already shooting IDPA for three years now, and there isn't much walking at our range. Its pretty compact, so I can basically set the bag down on a table and walk 20 yards to start shooting.

I ordered one last week from the States, worth a look and on special ATM: LAPG Tactical Bail Out Gear Bag

Came out to 54.92$ shipped to Canada.

Shooters Connection is quoting more than $100 shipping at the cheapest rate. Oy.

It should be slightly less... or at least mine was adjusted post-shipping.

Good time to ask if anyone wants anything from SC at your local club. Ask them to stuff the bag with your goodies, split the shipping!

I have one of those, and the jumbo size too. They're good as a stage bag to just carry ammo. But too narrow for a primary action shooting bag.

+1 but as runningfool mentioned they dont ship to Canada yet. You can get the same bag from 5.11 tactical and a number of sponsors sell 5.11. They have it in stock at Urban Tactical in Brantford. I think its called the "Range Ready" bag. I beleive they will ship to you.

+1. They don't ship to Canada though word is they may be opening in Canada shortly. It is a heck of a bag for the money.

They shipped my bag to canada

I love the Shooters Gear bag. I dicked around with an old Dillon back-pack or a craptastic chinese knock off from Unique-tec.
Finally decided it was time to get something respectable, and haven't looked back.

when you have shjtloads of space you carry stuff that you normaly wouldn't since you have the space. i used to have a shooter connection tournament bag, thing was buiilt like a tank and had tons of space. i switched to a falcon II backpack 5 or 6 years ago and have never looked back. the shooters connection bag was allways bouncing off my kness or gun and there was never enough table space for it at matches when the ground was a mess. with a back pack or duffle bag the more comparments you have the better so its easier to find things

One should also note, the 5.11 patrol ready has lockable zippers.

Yes, you'll have to find a Canadian dealer. Not sure who's closest to you but there are a few options for CED products, email them they may be able to help you find a local distributor.

Also want to add, I have a knock off of the County Comm Bail out Bag (like the LA Police gear linked above) that I got from CanadaAmmo. It's a decent bag, good as an ammo mule, but nowhere near the quality of the more expensive bags. Also it is not lockable, and screams TACTICAL - which can be super cool & fun or maybe not depending on who's watching.

x3 on shooters gear. they make really really nice stuff, saw a lot of it at my black badge course 2 weekends ago. Really well made, I'm grabbing a 6 mag pouch from them as soon as I can.

I have the 5.11 range ready bag and I love it! Tons of space for everything I need. It's padded up on some pouches to give your stuff some extra protection. Great bag IMO, good space and very comfortable to carry.

I've dealt with Murray for... quite some time (30+ years). He's good. I just purchased more goodies in the last few weeks, and will do so again.

Murray is good to deal with and he is an accomplished IPSC shooter. He can steer you in the right direction and the stuff he carriers is top notch.
