Good rifle for my woman

2 years ago my wife was in the same boat as yours. She has fallen in love with her new toy - my Ruger Mini. Everytime I go to the range, she needs to go too. Based on my experience, the mini-14 is the way to go. She really enjoys shooting as a sport.
 
If a mini 30 isn't too much recoil then you should also look at a CZ 858 . With the muzzle brake on its not got much recoil .
The length of pull is great for me and I'm a woman who has found many other rifles too large . It's also a fairly lightweight gun .
Great gun and cheaper then a mini .
 
I have hands the size of a girl and I find the CZ858 to be the most ergonomic with the factory pistol grip. The mini14 isn't bad, but it's a crappy gun compared to the 858

my wife can shoot (and i mean shoot) our socomII all day. the deuce barks like few others equally chambered, but it has a very mild recoil for what it is. not to mention the mods are endless.
but in the end, no matter what is chosen, this is pure win...congrats.
 
I played with an SU16 at a shop the other day.... Not impressed, I guess different strokes for different fokes but that rifles feels like it was a Chinese knock off of a norinco.
 
If I had a wife, she'd have the finest hunting rifle money could buy, this way she could get dinner and cook it as well
