good rubber buttpad for m14 ?

all good suggestions really appreciate it. i'm not sure if i want to alter the sling swivel either. The reason i am so keen on using this pad is because i feel it is better than the metal, and i have a cheek riser so i don't think a slip on would fit i want to keep the cheek riser. I haven't actually shot the rifle yet i just thought the metal would kill my shoulder so i wanted to get this pad , i will try it first then i will decide what i want to do. does anyone know a exact pitch size just incase ? thanks for all the help guys.

Don't worry about the metal on your shoulder. The gun is pretty much recoilless. I find mine just jumps up and to the side, but does not pound the shoulder. There's 11 or more pounds of gun to soak up recoil, along with it being a semi auto.

IT'S NOT METRIC- the thread is 12nf28-2a, for the bottom- slot head,
in the manual as
5305-600-8881- screw, machine:fil-ck-hd, slot drive s, phos-ctd, no 12, (.0216) 28nf-2a, .0171lg-
you need a SQUARE or hex nut for the top, and just match that to any convient nut and screw combo you happen to have kicking around- it's great if you have the retainer , but really doen't matter if you do't- you can hold the nut with a set of needle nose pliers-as to the VALUE of putting one on goes, i would question that- the heaviest loads you're going to shoot are 170 grains and it's not like we have the 20 round mags anymore-
and you can always go the PAST route, where YOU WEAR the pad, not the rifle
