I trust my Sightron.
It depends on your budget, what quality you need, and what features you want.
I decided on a Sightron SIII 6-24x50 FFP in 'MOA' for my Savage 10 FCP HS, .308.
It's fantastic, as far as I'm concerned. It's got all the qualities and features I need
without any of the unnecessary stuff. Eye relief is 4.3"-3.2".
I'm shooting 1 MOA at 300 yards and I can see my holes in the paper.
I'm hitting the gong easily and consistently. The turrets sound and feel perfect when
I crank them, and the reticle returns to its zero setting every time. It feels solid, and
it looks suitably "tactical". What else do I need? I can't think of anything--
I won't be shooting at night(!) or low light where I'll need illumination, and I rarely get
the opportunity to range out beyond 300.
Affordable? Well, it's at the high end for me, but I've got too many guns now to be able
to shoot the moon on more scope than I need.
It's just fun for me to shoot with a scope I know I can trust.
