Good scout mount for m14?

hey guys,

Like the title says, what's a good scout mount for the m14? Are they long enough to house a full size eotech? Do they hold zero? Good cheek weld? Going bear hunting this weekend, and wanna try one out.

I really like that ultimak mount. Wolverine doesn't carry them. I will phone ultimak to see who the canadian importer is

You could try ordering through Brownells....someone in Canada did bring them in recently though.

I bought my ultimak from brownells, it's not listed as a gun part, so no export permit required.

I picked up the Springfield mount today afterwork. Really solid. The only problem is my eotech sits way too high. It's a chin weld.

What optics are you guys running?

I like the SA mount too.. I have a leupold FX-II 2.5x28mm sit on it with low ring.

ive got a promag mount, mounts my aimpoint fine. and any kind of scope i want.

used to have a VLTOR cluster rail and had a 2-7x long eye reliefe scope

+1 on the SA mount. If you want to look less tactical than the Ultimak or UTG the SA mount is the way to go.

I think I'm gonna put an aimpoint m3 2 moa dot on it. I have a really low 30 mm quick release ring I could use. Hopefully that will sit low enough to shoot without a cheek pad.

with the standard aimpoint 30mm low mount, mine is low enough that i get a lower cheek/jowel weld .. fine for quick shooting

I use the Ultimak on my Norinco. It mounts lower than the SA.

I woulda got the ultimak, but couldn't find one. I will pick up an aimpoint tomorrow. I am going bear hunting with this thing on Friday. LOL I gotta learn to plan ahead.
