Good Source for Bullets for .338 Lapua Magnum ?

I won't use the word "cheap" but where does one buy resonably priced bullets for a .338 Lapua for plinking/target, I don't necessarily want to be spending mulitple bills with each trigger pull, or do I have a choice when it comes to this caliber/cartridge? I tried looking in a few sponsors websites but didn't see much selection.

Also, what powder are you guys using for this cartridge?

Shooting a trey trey ate isn't going to be an economical proposition. Unfortunately if you want an economic plinker a .223 or .308 is a much better choice.

Loaded ammo is about $120 for 20 shells and I would guess about 25% to 40% of that to reload.

Performance is going to be effected if you choose the "budget" of components.You can go lighter cheaper bullets but then you won't get the performance that the cartridge was intended to do, and the bullets are about the only components that you may have a slight price variance.

As for where, Jerry at Mystic has the creme de la creme for bullets there right now. 338 Berger Hybrid and at reasonable prices and he does have many other components available.

Buying 250 or 300 grain SMKs by the 500 box will get your price down to 70-80 cents apiece depending on where you find them. Useing a lesser bullet sort of defeats the purpose. The only way I've been able to get powder prices down is by buying large quantities, but that might be different where you live. You can get the price down to about a buck a shot without sacrificeing quality. About the same price as blue box 30-06 if you think about it.
