Good thing coyotes stink

I have the FoxPro Inferno and Wildfire 2 as a backup (they are the same calls except the remotes are different) plus I attach an SP60 external speaker to the caller when it is windy out...
The new style remote on the Inferno is supposed to be a lot better (slightly larger font size but I still need my reading glasses during sunny days) and better remote distance-hold more sounds too.
The old style remote on the Wildfire 2 has a smaller font size but it can be changed to large numbers instead (easy to read without reading glasses) -remote distance is less but I only keep my caller about 30-40 yds away so no big deal there and number of sounds is less too....
I like the fact they only take 4 batteries and with the external speaker seems to work well on those windy days...
With all that being said, I am always looking to upgrade (darn internet) to the latest and greatest but I try and keep myself in check. The best coyote season I had was when I was using mostly mouth calls and a FoxPro spitfire (only 12 sounds?) and no external speaker........ ..... So I guess its not really the most expensive caller that pulls in the most coyotes (with the internet chatter/media it certainly sounds that way) but its the setup that does....
Both are good, but I can't help thinking about upgrading... (stupid internet)...

Cabelas have FoxPro Inferno at $229 and FoxPro Wildfire 2 at $199 on sale, was torn about which one to get.
Wildfire 2 seems like more proven unit, been around for a while, but I like the idea of Inferno remote control looking little larger and perhaps easier to read.
Also, it seems that Inferno remote is backlit, and perhaps Wildfire is not.
$30 dollars are not an issue here, I just would like to get better and more reliable unit.
Now, onto your quandary... I have heard that FoxPro Crossfire is quite an improvement in every respect, but price is around $550 and not in the budget at this time.
Expert reviews claim that units that use 8 to 10 AA batteries have an extended usage time, and volume is much greater.
Have you found that volume on your Wildfire and Inferno is sufficient, or would you benefit from them being louder than they are?
I can see that you are doing a bang up job on coyotes with what you got, but you know we are always looking for a better mousetrap, and quest never ends...

With the external speaker the sound seems fine, but on really windy days, I can't help think louder would be better....... but I need to constantly remind myself that the caller is just another tool...
Like golf, better clubs won't make me a better golfer, it just makes me look better around the tee block
Good job . I wish I could have nailed the one that woke me up last night barking next to my house at 3 am or so . you can hear them hunting down in the ravine across the street form me on a regular basis. too many houses around here or I would have smoked that one last night.
