A good example of why you want to give a bow shot deer time to die... Even with all that blood loss it was pretty full of energy. Push tha deer too early and it will be a loooonnggg day tracking.

Sucks to see what happens all to often with these beautiful animals. That one guy was pretty nasty , I would have suggested a good spot for that antler , after he was done getting it off:D
A good job though, the strongest buck survived, natures way, with a little help. Thanks for posting:)

Very interesting video. I think it was the right move cutting the alive deer's antlers off, due to them regrowing next year. One thing that I have to comment on is the poor bow shot. I guess it worked but could have been more higher.

shot was great if not excellent, but the arrow penetrated #### all. makes you wonder what type of broad heads he used. regardless though the shot was great and did it's job, IMHO;)

At first, I thought it was kinda ####ty to shoot one of the bucks when they are obviously "tied up", but then again, if it were left to nature, BOTH would have likely died...

i've never shot an animal, let alone a deer with a compound bow, but to me, as a rifle shooter, that looks like a gut shot.
but then again, iam no expert!

I thought they tried to remove a rack from the dead one first but then went for the easiest one. It was a good shot but obviously didn't quite hit the heart. I wonder if a rifle may have been swifter end?? Mother nature can be a real ##### sometime!!!

I would bet that the right front shoulder stopped the arrow

I thought that was a pretty nasty death. I think a double shoulder blade shot from my .35 Whelen would have been more humane. A little meat wasted but almost instantaneous death rather than bleeding out. I'd be scared to show that video to a non-hunter.

Very interesting movie, wow. That was a good shot though...perfect if you ask me. I have only taken 2 caribou with a bow so I am no expert, but that shot looked fine to me...
