Goodbye Aimpoint Micro! Hensoldt Military RSA Red Dots on sale for just $499!!

I just got one of these units from a guy that bought it from TI. First impressions are that it's a nice small quality unit. I like the fact that the dot automatically adjusts to ambient light.

Unfortunately the dot is way over to the right and cannot be adjusted back. It also moves around a bit so I think it has an internal problem. I will send it back to TI to have it repaired under warranty.

I'm interested in getting feedback from those you had Aimpoint Micro and ditched them after purchasing these Hensoldt units.

I'm just about to put a WTB add in the EE for a Micro..

TI - your webside mentions "on-sale RSA Red Dots do not feature slide-lock device". How much are the units with the slide-lock?

Also, it mentions that it comes with a free pic. rail raiser, but isn't pictured online. How high does it take the unit? Absolute co-witness? Lower 1/3?

Thanks!

Units with slide-lock are 769.

The riser is a 3/4" rise. Not 100% of dot height with riser, would guess around 1 5/8"

I sent the unit back to TI and they had a look at it for me, couldn't find the problem and returned it. Turns out it was my mistake. The site has a spring loaded rail attachment. It's possible to have it appear to be in place but actually not be seated correctly which throws the aim off. When you are mounting the sight make sure you have a positive lock. Thanks to TI for trying to fix the problem, sorry to waste your time

^ That handle looks as tall as that on the T97 which everyone complaints about. Considering putting one of these RSA on my T97. Anyone used RSA on T97?

Haven't had one on a T97, but the dot is very low. Works good on other firearms with high mounts, like SAF series, shotguns, SL8 etc.

Ordered one last Friday and received it this morning. First time buyer with these guys and it was great. Mounted it on the Norinco and sighted it in this afternoon. Functioned excellently with all the snow the still kicking around and with the sun lingering infront of me.

Mine just came in Fiday and I put it on my Tavor. It co-witnesses perfectly with the Tavors built in irons (not sure if they are the same height as ar-15 iron sights). I did a rough sight in by moving the dot to the top of the front sight and when I took it out yesterday It was pretty much bang on. I am VERY impressed so far with this optic and cant wait to do some more shooting with it. I have been looking for the right optic for my Tavor for about 8 months now, I have tried multiple setups but this one Is the best so far.
