I goose hunt every spring and sometimes in the fall ... I use a goose caller(cant remember the make) for Canada's and a whistle for snow geese. I'm curious whats a good automated goose caller with a remote starter that anyone would suggest? Thanks CGNer's,

p.s. I'm getting lazy and would rather flick a switch then keep blowing on my goose caller ... HAHA ... :D

E-Callers are great for some things but I like to use a traditional hand held mouth blown call to fool geese into thinking I am talking their language and then getting to come up saying GOTCHA before I start to open fire!!
I have been on the spring snow goose hunt with large spreads and e-callers and I really don't think the e-caller made much difference in drawing the birds into range.

Not meaning to hijack, but while with practice I now blow a pretty mean duck call when it comes to using a goose call I can do a decent(and I use the term loosely), "two syllable honk" (the sound they make while flying) but that's the limit of my repitoire. Any suggestions?

I'm no expert and honestly hate using the goose caller for Canada's as I get tired of blowing that damn thing. A whistle(since I don't know how to whistle) works great with SNOW geese as they'll even turn around and come right in ... bang bang! HAHA. Name a brand type of e-caller please???

I like my Fox-Pro for calling coyotes. I have never tried it for geese but I'm sure it would work fine. Check out their website, they have callers specifically for snow goose hunting. That said, I much prefer a mouth call for all my hunting but when it comes to coyote hunting I like to call hard for 15 minutes or more at a go. After three or four stands I run out of wind! Hence the fox-pro. Hope that helps.

We use FoxPro SnoCrow e-callers for our snow goose hunting and they do work very well at putting birds on top of gunners in a decoy spread.
