Goose decoys - recommendations? Deals?

I'm looking to fill out my goose decoy spread. What can people recommend for reasonable cost, and are there any deals out there yet?
 
Resonable cost and waterfowling.....that's an oxymoron if I've ever heard one :).

I've got experience with Final Approach, Greenhead Gear, and Dakota brand decoys. Dakota are the best, but expensive!
 
St.Lawrence outfitters ships out west, most of the good quality decoys in Canada come throught them. They are the only licensed Dakota dealer in Canada check out their website.If you talk to them say Wes says Hi.
 
The best value i found was from basspro.com

I bought 2 dozen goose shell decoys for $200 with shipping and exchange

They look really good, and are easy to set up.

There's also kijiji and craigslist, you can sometimes find some there, but few and far between

The shells are the best value going. You wont need a 25 foot trailer to haul them around.
Flocked decoys get dirty easy and require special care. Plus, I think they are more to catch hunter rather than birds.

Get the super mags if you can.

We shoot our limit all the time with 32 super mag shell decoys and they can be hauled in a pickup truck bed.

If you are out west those giant cartoon looking Super Magnum shells might work but for people farther down the fly way especially from about now till January need Realistic decoys to bring in the birds. Fullbodies don't take up that much space. I can get me and a buddy plus 44 Full bodies and two blinds into my pathfinder. If you want to consitantly kill geese good decoys are a must.

Yeah, you're right. No one ever shoot a goose down south before flocked decoys...:jerkit:

I should add that they actually land in them. I figure if a goose can sit 5 yards from one and not notice the difference then it's not too bad.
 
Rogers Sporting Goods in Missouri had FA Brand Lessers in a 6 pack with 6 slot bag for $109.99. I bought a 6 pack of the feeders back in Sept, they look great and man what a space saving compared to honker size GHG's. I wish I had gotten more.

Bigfoot Full-bodies are incredible! The realism and durability of the paint is superb. They are super easy to setup as well.

Greenhead Gear Over-size Goose shells are awesome. We used 7 dozen to fill in the spaces between the full-bodies and they did a fantastic job. The paint scheme is very respectable.

Greenhead Gear FFD decoys are the best I've ever scene. Absolutely zero glare and the birds drop outta the sky to join them.

Dakota decoys look pretty good, yet I haven't used them yet.
 
For hunting around Winnipeg I would go with the Real Geese ProII silos. They are an excellent decoy with a non-reflective material on both sides and they flat out kill geese. Plus, when the fields around Winnipeg get to slick to drive in or the landowner won't allow trucks in the field one guy can easily carry in 3-4doz in either a silo bag or a back pack blind such as an Xlander!

If you have your heart set on full bodies then Dave Smiths are the best but they FAR from cheap (plus they are addictive).
