Gopher carnage

Went out for the day of shooting some paper/steel and finished it off with a few gophers.

First time to this area this year and was told that he had LOTS to shoot and he did.

This was just for one gopher mound. Shot 10 in total just on this one hole.

8 with the 204 and 2 with the HMR. They just kept on coming to check out their buddys and I kept shooting em.

The little guys are out now around here. Some are smaller than a chipmunk I swear but there seems to be good numbers of them this year. I havent been after any for about a month and half now. May be time to get in another day or two before fall is upon us.

Thanks guys. Its was fun. I didnt even put a dent in them there yet because the cows were there and kept me in one corner of that field.

I like just laying down on top of a small ridge for awhile and blasting everything in that area.

Other gophers will take care of the mess, that and some of the birds

Gopher meat pies maybe even....
Never had that many from one den before, they would scatter from all over the ground and seemed to pop up from as far as 30 feet from the main den site.
None the less it appeared to have been a great day in the gopher patch and fun had by all involved...well not so much fun for the gophers.

Nice work Titch!!!! Gophers are hard to come by in Moose Jaw area. I did find some south but nothing like we had back a few years ago.

Interesting view considering BC also voted in the Liberals.... The only reason the Liberals got more votes in Ontario than BC was because your province gave more votes to the NDP than Ontario did.....
