The pet load for my Old man's .222 is a 50gr Hornady SPSX. Very accurate and not something you see everyday (especially in a hvybbl M700 from the early 70's topped with and equally seasoned Weaver scope, damn classy)
.22 WMR. Cheaper to shoot than factory loaded centerfire stuff, and it's less formal since you don't have to load up and save your brass. Powerful enough for longer shots, and explosive enough to make you go gigidy gigidy.

my .204 just arrived
I notice there are a number of you using the 219DW. Just got mine a short while ago and I'm still 'playing' with loads for it. Would like to hear gun & load details from those of you that are shooting one.
I picked up a Savage 17 HMR dirt cheap. Hope to shoot all gophers all weekend with the .204 and the following weekend with the HMR.was just out today enjoying vermin acrobatics with the 22-250 with 55gr blitzkings and the 17 hmr with 17gr v max and the 20 gr gamepoint. Everything worked well and I still have a big smile on my face.
