Gopher hunt goes wrong

Don't know if you watch the Prairie Farm report, it's a program that illustrates farmer's inventions. Anyways, a farmer invented a device that works on the same principal. Have a propane tank on a trailer, hooked up to regulator system, with several outlets upon which hoses were inserted into the gopher holes. After a quick charge of propane, it was ignited, killing the gopher. Works good on paper and theory.
Seems no matter how many you shoot, they seem to survive and produce more. The most efficient way I've seen gopher elimination is by using poison in the hole. Not as much as shooting them though.
