gopher hunters wanted Lethbridge

acerage?...how many acers?
In Alberta it is illegal to discharge or allow a projectile from a firearm to pass within 200yds(184m) of a occupied building.
If the parcel of land is smaller than 80 acers guess what you could run into.
Check this out before you PO the guys neighbors and get saddled with some big head aches.

That is correct, I would'nt worry about the guy asking you to come out, but how about his neighbors. Food for thought that's all.
The term acerage scares the heck out of me, I invision a rural subdivision loaded with soccer moms, and the such. (where's the shiver symbol)

I have been in Alberta and even in the Lethbridge area for the last 2 1/2 weeks.

I have been shooting gophers every where I go...

Unfortunately I left the Lethbridge area before I found this post. :(

I have been using my 17HMR & 223 and have not worried about law enforcement even once...

Gophers are such a plague out here in some areas that the residents are more than happy to give permission to you.

Last week I sat and watched a local driving around a field with one fellow in the back of the truck with a rifle, the passenger was hanging out the passenger window with another rifle and the driver had his rifle hanging out the window as well.

They were shooting so many gophers it was almost unbelievable...

I was walking in the field across the street using my tripod that I installed a shooting rest on making shots out to 130 yards with the 17HMR.

As I drove into town this morning there was a break in the rain so I stopped and cleaned up a small infestation... :)

Is there a better way to shoot gophers? If so, I havent found it yet....

Until I win the lotto and build me a RV complete with all the gopher shootin fixins.

- swivel/rest chairs on the roof
- sponsored by remington painted on the back
- and of course, we cannot forget a reloading bench inside..
