Gopher Hunting 2015

Hey guys, I am from Northwestern Ontario and really really want to go out to MB or SK to try out some gopher shooting! Is there anyone that could PM me or otherwise a few hints and tips. Have a truck and will travel anywhere! I would be shooting a .22, and can be anywhere from the MB border to the BC border within a hard days drive! Thanks!
 
you will have your best luck in the southern portions of sask and ab your best bet is to go down and start knocking on doors. be respectful and polite and im sure you will find gophers soon enough.
 
Jesus man, if you drive down from Ontario to hunt gophers, I'd be glad to take you out for a day pm me if you want. I'm outside Regina and have permission on a nice little pasture littered with the little bugger's.

I totally understand his enthusiasm, gopher shooting is one of, if not, my favorite pastimes. :)

^^This. Shootin' gophers. Drives the anti-everything whackos crazy. One woman phoned in to a popular Sask. talk show and wondered why we had to shoot those poor, cute little animals. Why couldn't we relocate them. I've always hoped and prayed that she didn't work in the health care field. Anyone that stupid would kill the first patient they went near.
