Gopher Hunting - Calgary Area

I got about 100 in one day in Didsbury 2 weeks ago, and another 30 a couple of days after, but then the weather went cold and they all hid. Now it's warming up though and my .223 is ready to go again.
Got one of them at about 250 yards. It's nice the way they stand up as straight at they can and stay that way for about 10 to 20 seconds. More than enough time to send out a 60 grain HP to meet them.

im supposed to be going to edmonton this summer for a family reunion and was wondering if there are any places in that area to do some gopher shooting thanks.

south western Saskatchewan is the place to go if you can.......in some places guys are shooting 500 gophers per, day per shooter.

It is such a problem that a lot of landowners are poisoning now, so the population should start to drop soon. Better get our there while the critters are still on the run.
 
just orders a cz 527 varmint, ive got a friend in medicine hat with land so ill be shooting there but if anyone goes out around calgary and doesnt mind another shooter taging along im in
