Hi was wondering if anyone in Sask. or Man. would be willing to allow me and possibly 1-2 friends to come Gopher hunting on your property this year. Somewhere Between Moosejaw and Winnipeg south or north would be best. Or anyone who could point us in the right direction a R.M. or property owner with a gopher problem. We are businessmen/councilmen in the Dauphin, Mb. area. The hunting and fishing is extrordinary in our area and I could certainly return the favor. Please contact me via PM.

I travelled from Edmonton last May to join this fellow in SW Sask. We had a fine time, saw a bunch of new country, and shot more than our fair share of gophers.
Might get back in time for some moose steaks if there are any left.... FS

Sorry, but gopher "hunting" is not allowed in Saskatchewan any more.:p We are, however, allowed gopher shooting. ;)

Just kidding. I am sure we could find a couple of gophers for these good Manitoba boys. I benefited from the hospitality of gopherxs last summer. I spent a couple of good sessions one of his hayfields. I hope he owns the mineral rights to that land, as someday it will likely be mined for the lead content!!:p:p
 
If you guys are in Dauphin, I would suggest a spot not that far of a road trip from where you are. A place called Benito,Sk. I had family in Pelly and my grandpa, used to take me there to this farm on a hill over looking this pasture that was filled with the buggers! We would always run out of 22 shells, and by that time it was supper time there, and even as a kid back then I was tried of shooting and reloading that old browning trombone by supper! Dam kinda of miss that area now!
