Just saw my first 2012 gopher!
Unfortunately all I have is my 6.8. Coming back to work tomorrow with a smaller rifle is not an option. Looks like it's going to be a messy one.

First gopher of 2012 for me yesterday afternoon while out throwing clays with a buddy. Got the chubby bugger from 15 ft away with a 2 3/4 target load to the think box. Then we noticed a porcupine up a tree a couple hundred yards away and went for a short hike... All in all it was a great day to be out with the shotguns. Finished up the day with a fire, hot dogs and a pil cube. Come on summer!

Ya Ya, the sun was shining, saw a couple on the highway coming home so just pulled in, grabbed the 204, checked that the ammo was still under the seat and took off. About the time I was driving into the pasture "Sh!t I don't have a camera."

Your phone doesn't have a camera on it? Let me guess, it has a crank on the side and you have to get Mabel to connect you.

Sounds like a typical Sask weekend, 2 3/4"target loads are a fun way to blast gophers.

Got my first 3 today. Went out for a drive with my 3 year old son. Stopped by my gopher spot and tagged the first one only a couple yards in from the gate. The wind was howling here today and it was slightly overcast. I think there were more around but they were just keeping there heads down.
