Gopher miss with .22-250 pics

This fella lived to be shot at another day. Had a bit of a ride though.

I'm thinking he's wiping off a bit of dust from his eyes and a large stain on the other end. What a ride, how did you get the shots???

I'm betting the little bugger got pretty messed up from sharpnel/pebble debris, even if he ran back into his hole. I've had gophers die from a miss, bullet fragments and pebbles.

Naw he ran and then stood up and whistled at us for a few minutes. We let him go after his flight. Today wasn't his day to go.

The young ones were out today which allowed us a couple of "doubles" and even one triple as they grouped together.
