Gopher Shoot in Mankota(graphic!)

Went for a gopher shoot at Mankota. We left friday morning at 0545 and 9 hrs later we pulled into Gopherx's place.
He showed us where to hunt and thats what we did....:sniper:
We had My 220 swift, M96, 10/22, and my CZ452.

And here's where we stayed.....The roof leaked a little when it rained and we had gophers sleeping on our chest when we woke up in the morning.

Can't wait till the butcher is done with our meat.....gopher smokies and Tbones:D

was going to fix the roof but the skunks moved back in as soon as you left:D::dancingbanana:

Gopher smokies...:D Russ, you gotta find some bigger critters to get any amount of smokies. I admire your tenacity of getting as many smokie donors as you can. Be sure not to waste the eyelid meat,I heard it was the best eats on gophers.:wave:
 
Yep....9 hrs each way a barrel of diesel and worth every penny:D

My boy had a great time...He was my navigator, read the road map and kept me on track. He sure could nail those gophers with that M96....50gr.Vmax's at 3250fps and gophers doing lunch make a hell of a salad:eek:

303carbine.....As for the eyelid meat....Most of mine were head shots so the eyelids are somewere between Mankota and Swift currant:D
