anyone know where a good supply of gophers live in SE MB? We gettin company and he would like to shoot some gophers for a day. I haven't seen any or should I say many, to make it worthwhile to go shooting. Thanks if you know a place and are willing to share.

Same here in Southwest SK.
It's been almost 5 years since I've seen enough gophers at the farm to make it a day.
They likely got a disease that cleaned them all over winter a few years back.
Now when we see the odd one with leave it alone so the population can built up so we can enjoy shooting them again.

The gopher population is definetly down. Why don't you come up with a way to shoot some of these darn moles. No shortage of them!!!

I used to live in SK back in the day, I knew of an awesome gopher hill, it was near my relatives farm, near Invermay. Unbelieveable number of these little guys there. Haven't been there in decades, that property has changed hands and my cuz says no shooting is allow and no trespassing there these days. No one know if the gophers are still around or not.

We have lots here this season. Cleaned about 800 out of a quarter in two trips. The little guys are out now and they are all over the shoulders of the roads anywhere there is a pasture. Gets hard on the 22 ammo when there are that many around.

Stick a couple thousand in a box and ship them out here, will use them like seed stock
