Gophers are up! Also first gopher with the FV-SR

They are hard to find and sell out quickly when they come into stock. I believe Wanstalls had them at some point. I got mine from a non sponsor to CGN, Chilliwack dart and tackle, actually they were awesome. I got on a waiting list with several others I believe. When they came into stock they didn't even go on the website, I think they just called the ppl on their list. I guess I got mine a while ago now but maybe they have some in stock?
That is a fine looking rifle. I have not heard of this model until just now and clearly one just like it belongs in my safe. I have been looking for the past hour or so online. Either I suck at the Googling or they are sold out everywhere. Does anyone know where I can find one?

Thanks!

Oh and as for the COLD, my frigging pipes froze yesterday! No water... eugh.

I got mine by patiently checking in store inventory online with Wholesale sports. Boxing day I saw they suddenly had 7 in stock in Lethbridge so I rushed in.
Only drawback with this handy little rifle is the stock has a very low comb resulting in a chin weld. I have a bolt on cheek riser on the way now to fix this.

Gotta love that 1/2" x 28 tpi Flash hider on there... Have I got that right? Maybe for extra cool factor, I should add on on the end of my PWS Toggle bolt .22 with a 16" Carbon fiber tension barrel with the 1/2" x 28 threads! :)

Cheers,

Yeah it comes with a knurled thread protector. I bought a used Little Badger last year that came with this AR-15 flash hider and decided it looked better on the Savage. I just used a leather washer to get it adjusted how I like it until I find some crush washers. Probably end up getting a linear brake eventually.

Does a linear brake make much of a difference?

Oh, and BTW, someone was kind enough to let me know that P&D had one of these rifles in stock. :d (I say "had" because I have already purchased it)

I guess I'll find out. Just ordered the S&J 2" linear brake from One Shot Tactical. Hopefully it helps in reducing the blast a bit, with the short barrel it's quite loud compared to my other .22's

I went in to P&D today to look for one. Well what do you know! They had one in .22LR and one in .17HMR! I bought both, mounted some sweet nikon optics and Harris bi-pods on them...they now sit in my safe waiting to be dialled in!

Does anyone know the barrel diameter of the FV-SR? If I decide to get a linear muzzle brake, I want it to mount flush with the barrel. I like the looks of the Dlask one. The S&J one looks cool too.
