Gophers in Edmonton - Wainwright area

Hello All,


I and 2 others will be traveling to Edmonton and Wainwright area, tomorrow the 19th for a couple days. I wonder if anyone is able to refer me to any ranchers who would like assistance with their gopher problem who are in this area.


All hunters are mature, no center fire rifles, 17HMR + 22.



Any incite / info would be appreciated, please PM me for contact info.

TRY THIS: drive out to country, stop at farm house, talk to farmer and be polite.

just a heads up, I drove out there last weekend (Viking area) and there is nowhere near the numbers of them that there were the last 2 years. The ones that were around looked a lot smaller too. Good luck to you though.

Being this wet and cold I don't know how many will be around.

But I agree, not nearly as many this year and years past.

+1 for the gopher population being way down. I was out there with Canuck75 and the numbers are way down from last year. I went out Sunday with Icehunter121 as well. We found a few more, but still no gopher gold mines.
