Gophers Out---Yahooooo(new pics)

How hard would it be to get a breeding colony started here in Ontario. Why the hell don't we have them here?

Hey you guys in Ont. should stud out the ground hogs to our gophers. Man what a hoot that would be-----Cowboy

This pic just became my new wallpaper - Excellent!!!!

I'll probably print off some targets to practice before my Gopher-'Safari' !

I'll be within a 1/2hr of Red Deer mid-May if anyone wants to meet-up for a day (or three) of gopher shooting...

Thanks Cowboy for the great pic!!!

For you guys who haven't seen them before the mature ones are about as big around as a pop can and about 8" long laying down, when they stand up they stretch out a little. It is difficult to tell the actual size because they tend to come apart when I shoot them.:D:dancingbanana:

I can just picture the barrels sticking outta the windows while blazing a trail back to cowtown :shotgun:

How about from Calgary heading north to edmunchuck? I'll be watching out for any gophers who feel like being a 130km/h speed bump!!

For the AGDN Team, you will need to have a center fire .22 -7mm rifle loaded up with small little VMAX's.

Mine? 7-08 with 120gr VMAX. 22-250 w/ 55gr VMAX. GOPHA BEWARE!!!

I just drove back from Kindersley .... oh yeeeh, saw a couple in Sask. Got home to find most of the snow gawn and predictions of balmy weather on the weekend.....where's my freakin' ammo???

Ok, so which ones are coming out first, some say the males, some say the females. Personaly, I must admit that I've never checked, but I will.

Don came out this am. We sighted in his #5 brno and headed out. Tough seeing the little buggers. The sky was dull and no bright sun lite. We tried getting a pic of a gopher getting hit but the wheels fell off. Don counted 1,2,3, But said 3 so loud he missed the gopher. Tried it again and gun empty. It got so cold late in the day we had to close one window on the pickup. We laughed quite a bit after that one. Anyways no such thing as a bad day gopher shooting.-----Cowboy
