I have a Sony Action Cam and was thinking of some kind of a picatinny mount for my AR, but I prefer the perspective of the OP's video. If you mount the camera near the front, you can see the optic and the manipulation of the rifle. I guess I could use the headband, but can't get over the dork factor enough to actually do it at the range.
the only problem with my camera position is that I cant see the red dot. I had to aim down the side of rifle (I referenced two points to make a sight picture). if you had the 45deg sights then this camera set up works with out the possibility of loss of aiming.
