Got a bonus today

I've bought 3 bags of Rem 30/06 brass and they've all had 1 extra.

One bag of 6.8 spc brass had five extra and the other had two.

I bought 1000 hornady 55 grain V-max a while back and every box had 102 bullets in it, they were all welcome bonuses.

Always 2 extra in 6mm. It's to make up for the two junk ones you usually have to throw away.

the biggest bonus ive had is a single extra winchester 9mm 115gr in a value pack of 100

Yes, I often find one or two extra cases in bags of Remington brass. Never once - in 30+ years of hand-loading - have I found an extra piece in a bag of Winchester brass.

Most would, I imagine, be packed by weight. Usually set to err on the side of caution, better to give a bonus, than have to listen to an irate customer who got shorted. Course, that is just my theory, take it for the not much that it is worth.
