Got this Buck with my 76 Uberti carbine in 45/60.I was sitting on the side of a hill and this guy appeared ,waited a bit for a good shot and fired.Range was about 80yards, he went down in a cloud of smoke my shot breaking his back.I was using a 300gr bullet cast from an original 45/60 mold ,lubricated with SPG and backed up by 60grs of 2fg black powder.

Wow, Superb!

Beautiful deer with a real rifle. I use primitive firearms for my table fare every year. It gives me a real sense of accomplishment.
