Could someone with a digital scale weigh out 10 kernals of imr 4064 and tell me how heavy? Maybe do a couple batches and get an average? Reason I want to know is, I use a Lee PPM to throw powder and weigh it with a lee scale, a I get within 3-5 kernals pretty much every time. Now I wonder what the weight difference would be.

Thanks

That doesn't sound right. I don't think your scale was picking them out.

kernels, depending on the powder weigh generally between less than .02 and .06 grains for the larger ones.

I don't have my Acculab scale at home so I can't do it now. But Steve is on the money with Varget. My scale is accurate to .02gr and when I load and trickle individual kernels it will go up .02gr with each full sized pellet.

If I recall, IMR 4064 uses very slightly larger kernels than varget, so i'm guessing it would be very similar.

If you're that close, it's hardly worth worrying about. I doubt your chrony can tell the difference and that it will make little if any difference on target.

I do stand corected. The weight measure was 0.2 - 0.3 grains of weight for 10 kernals. It was late when I did it last night which is further fuel to prove never to load when you are tired. I remeasured tonight and the scale was steady at 0.3gr for 10 kernals. I'm in Vancouver and the humidity in the air can sometimes affect the electronic scales. The last few days have seen primarily wet and cool weather. Sorry for any inconveniance.
