Pennsylvania rifle season opened yesterday. I didn't get anything yesterday, but got a decent sized doe today. Nothing spectacular here, but a doe none the less... There hasn't been many running around here lately. My brother in law shot at a herd of them, he shot one himself and then one of the doe from that herd came running out of the pines by herself. She stopped and looked up at me broad side. I was gonna let her go because she was kind of small, but I figured I only have 3 days up here... might as well take my shot while I have the chance. I have one more day tomorrow, I'm gonna try and get a buck if possible... there have been a few 8 pointers running around.
It was about a 200 yard shot with a 130 grain .270 Win
The wind picked up a bit otherwise it would have been dead center.
