Got a new Glock 19 gen 4 Canadian edition. Went to range and played with it. It shoots well, with the plastic sights . Went home, found a minor issue, not sure whether it is a issue yet. It looks the metal plate did not stay very well. I do not have lot of experience with glock. I don't think the point in the picture is a stress point. So anyone can tell me, should I worry about this? Is it a issue? Thanks lot.

Just looks like the paint or coating is coming off at the contact point. Looks normal to me. I have an ex-police Glock and that whole metal surface is worn bare.

Its just the rust resistant plating wearing/flaking off, not big deal. Most people remove this plating when they do a glock trigger job.

Really great graphics! Wow. Looks like a bad casting. It appears that the left leg of the block is not solid but perhaps had an air bubble that has collapsed. Replace that part at your earliest opportunity.

Hey OP, I have owned two Glocks before this and have seen wear on those points but haven't seen flaking like that on the locking block before, so I got my G19 Canadian out and took some pics. Unfired (except for Glock testing):

These wear marks are normal though, just seems like maybe the locking block in these didn't get a good coat of whatever they put on it to prevent rust. Aftermarket Glock OEM parts aren't expensive thankfully.
