My neighbor is moving and did not want to take his pistols with him. I bought the Savage 1907 (serial number is in the 7k range) because it was quite ugly and I love ugly guns! He had never shot the Savage as the barrel is pristine. The owner previous to him used it as an everyday carry piece before moving to Canada with it in the late 1960's. It has wear on the end of the slide, the backstrap, magazine and front strap. All the other blueing is quite nice. Looks pretty good for a pistol that is over 90 years old! It is a very intesting design, from the slide to the fact that there are no screws used anywhere in it. The trigger is a bit heavy (6lb or so) but there is no creep and a crisp letoff. I am quite happy with it!
