Got a new scope for my R700 SPS Tactical .308....

Hey.... just put a new scope on my rifle.....Falcon 5.5-25/50 FFP .....I cant wait to try it out!!!

I have the same scope and like it. I compared it side by side with a NF for clarity at 1000 yards and......the NF was way better :) (no point in lying here).....but....was it 3-4 times better?

Anyway it doesn't matter. I don't choose to afford NF so Falcon works for me for now.

I got it from Frontier Firearms. It is priced at $499.95 but I got 3% off that price for paying by EMT and got free shipping so I ended up paying $543 shipped. Definitely a lot of scope for the money! At max mag it has quite a sharp image...But I cant compare to high end glass since I have no experience with them. Overall Im very happy with it.
 
The Falcon's are all good value - I use a 1.5-5 on my LMT and still have an older Menace 4.5-18x56 that I use on one of the bolt guns. I will be including the Falcon's in a review I plan on writing in future comparing a wide range of scopes from Chinese Knock-off's thru to S+B

Can't wait to read your review...hope it includes the swfa ss 5-20 x 50, the vortex razor hd, bushnell 4200 and 6500 elites, and nightforce.
 
That looks like a great scope are those mid height mounts , I have no experience with that scope but the price looks almost to good for a high quality scope. I will defiantly be looking for a good long range scope for my 700 Senduro. I would like one with all the adjusters. The gun is heavy now a few pounds are not going to make that much difference. I am hoping to get my five hundred yard groups under 5 inch average on three shot groups with this gun. Or just dump it. I hunt elk in the peace region
 
Yeah they are med height rings. They are the perfect height, the objective just clears the barrel. There are 2 Falcons for sale in the EE right now!

Alright ya, cuz I know fabsports sells something very similar by blackhawk but I believe they only carry it in black? I haven't looked into it too much but know I definitely want one for my up and coming build.
 
Tomochan, I hope you get the reviews done soon. It looks as though a lot of people, me especially, would be very interesten in your results.
