I live in Cape Breton, Nova scotia. Lots of country around and woods that can go pretty deep. I also have my hunting license and have a legitimate spot to go hunting in the woods, its near my bungalow. There is a lot of woods where my property is at since we are the last house on the road, there is a house just up the road a few seconds but its all woods in the back of the bungalow.
My question is can I shoot my .22lr semi auto rifle on my property in the woods? What are the restrictions and laws of "target practicing" or "pest control" on my own land.
Also can I go in the woods far enough (say 2 mile radius of any civilization) away from any roads or housing to shoot in the woods, even if its not hunting season and im not shooting animals?
