Yes.

Just read the bio of Roy Weatherby, their relationship with Howa goes back into the early-mid 60's - which I found quite surprising. It's not the case these days, but back then Japanese manufacturing quality was generally not well respected.

I know, same with cars now that our $ is strong, but I figured I'd throw the info out there, maybe someone can find it useful for a bargaining tool somewhere.
