If you mean "the low powered" 7.62x54, that stuff is easy to find here and cheap; same goes for 7.62x51(.308). Actually any 7.62mm ammo is still somewhat cheap and plentiful in Canada.quick question. does it only take the lower powered 7.62x51 russian or 308.
also if it only takes the russian can you get ammo in canada or would you have to load your own?

How would one go about putting a scope on something like that? Would make a beautiful hunting rifle (almost too beautiful) but would be nice to have a scope on it.
There is a side rail machined on the left side of a receiver, just like on SVD (shorter though). I will post close up picture later tonight.
$3349.00 is $3000.00 more than I'm willing to spend on any milsurp or lookalike etc.
But Thanks for asking.
Ahaaaa, it is not the basic model made by Izhmash. It is the uplevel version finished by Legion www.exclusivegun.ru That's why its a bit pricey.
Very nice rifle indeed.
I know you are also getting the Record, Sobol, Los and Korshun models. Are they coming from Legion too?
By the way you forgot to order a Volk....or did you?????
Then you're probably not the target market for this rifle
But thank you for your input.
TeaPot, nice rifle how is it that this rifle is allowed into Canada but the Tigr isn't? What are the differences between the two actions?
Today in engineering economy I learned about supply and demand. There's a low demand for that rifle, so price is high. If a ton of people buy the rifle, the price will lower and supply and demand curves will come closer to meeting each other at equilibrium.
So in English, those who can afford the rifle, should buy a lot of them.
