Got bored over th last 2 days

I was getting in the wife's hair so I hid in the garage and made a couple of knives from some 1084 steel I had laying around and some oak and acacia scraps sitting on the bench, I used mostly hand tools and finished with a crappy little belt sander I have. They hardened well and took a good edge, In have no particular need for more knives but it was fun.

The top one I figure as a dressing knife and the bottom a modified skinner and camp knife. I'll probably give one to my brother as his current knife has trouble cutting butter. I got lucky finding some acacia wood scraps that are very hard and finish easily.

Some day these may be a treasure for someone. I have a knife made by my Grandfather that is, to me, valuable beyond measure.
