You need another rifle.
I stack mine when I take them up to shoot in my sand pit. Works really well in keeping dirt out of the actions.
However, I need to four rifles to do this, otherwise I can't shoot one without laying the other two down.
Perhaps this is the excuse that you need to justify buying another one!

How did this concept work? As soon a someone or two grabs their rifle, wouldn't the other ones all fall over into chaos? It's great, keeps em off the ground etc but...wonder how well it worked when the schmidt hit the fan...

Ya, with three stacked, you can lean more rifles onto the pile! And they all have to be grabbed at once or they fall into a pile of pick-up-stiks.
But I betcha that grabbing a rifle quickly was one of the drills that a rifleman practiced many, many times.
Some of the recent Turkish surplus LE No.4 rifles that have appeared have piling rods added to the front barrel band mounted with the band screw.

You also need a tent pole and a bell tent to use that
