So fell upon the chance to buy a nylon 66 that is in very nice shape and a cooey single shot today. 100 bucks for the nylon 66 and 50 bucks for the cooey ... so I bought both. It was a very fortunate series of events that led to this.

Now the nylon 66 I've already figured out was made in Oct 1975, tons of into on them to be found.

The cooey, not so much. single shot, 17 1/2? inch barrel, the only stamp on it says "SPORT 22 Long Rifle". There are no other marking whatsoever on this thing.

Is there any more info to be found on these? Any way of figuring out when this thing was made?

The only thing I was able to find was a mention of a "sport" model in a list of cooey models but no other information was associated with the entry.

Man, you did very well on that Nylon 66.
Was my first gun I pined for back in the mid 70's.
I have never chased after one, but had the $100 rifle appeared before me I too woulda pulled that trigger.
No info on the single shot.

It's predecessor was the Cooey Ace (1927-28)

That's all I got.
