hey all. Got me a new pup anybody know the do and dont s. Any help would be great, If any one in Quebec has a pact and would like to invte me please let me know.

Love the beagle, a super hunting dog, they'll chase anything that will run from them if they are trained properly.
Mine did it naturally, I did no real training at all. They must be tied up in the off season though, not allowed to chase everything any time, and not allowed to get fat and lazy. That means you have to walk the dog, and keep her feet hardened. Sidewalks to a fair job of that.
If you let the dog run at will, she'll get tired of chasing stuff.
Encourage her to chase what you want her to chase. Pull her off the other stuff.
 
Beagles in my opinion are the best dog in the world!
I especially like small ones, my present beagle weighs in at 26lbs at fightin weight ;) He's a near perfect deer hunter, sleeps beside my bed & watchs TV on my knee till he gets to hot!
Mine is the one on the left resting after a days hunt in the camp this year!

Now that there sounds like some excellent advice from some-one that knows:)
 
great dogs. i've got 3 beagles. 1 year old , 7 year old and 20 year old. all good deer hounds. the 20 year old is now retired to the sofa. they all ran naturally with no training( i don't know how you would train a hound). beagles have a ton of heart. my 7 year got hit by a car and now hunts on three legs. the left rear had to be amputated. he goes as good as he did on four. the twenty year old hunted til 2006 at 19 years of age, for 1 1/2 weeks of deer hunting.beagles rule!!
