Got me the ultimate coyote rifle, pick some glass

I second any Zeiss recommendation. I currently have a 3-9x50mm Conquest on my X-Bolt Varmint Stalker .308, it does the trick, but I wish it was a higher magnification. 4.5-14 I think would be pretty good. With Zeiss's new line out there, Conquests are considerably cheaper and a down right steal of a deal. You wont regret buying one.

Nobody has mentioned the right reason though, the Rapid Z reticle line are the ultimate ranging reticle for quick holds and windage hold offs.

Yes the Zeiss are wonderful scopes but for this application there really is no other choice.Not for glass but for the Rapid Z.

I have target turrets on mine but once you have your drop/magnification calibrated you not need touch them again unless you switch loads.

FYI , I had my Conquest with Rapid Z 50mm varmint out yesterday along with my SIII 60mm , the Zeiss to my eyes was clearer and crisper.

Excellent scopes for the money I've heard from some guys around. Really considered one when I was setting up my rig. I don't understand the obsession with these "ranging reticles". If you practice with your rifle and or have a range finder and range a few things in your surroundings you really shouldn't need one. Especially because this is a coyote hunting rig. Maybe I'm out of line but I think a basic mildot is more than enough if you practice correctly. Even a (god forbid) basic duplex works just fine if you range your surroundings and know your rifle. I wonder how many serious coyote hunters will #### around with range finding reticles.

My 225 Winchester wears a 4.5-14x50 Leupold with the Varmint Hunter Reticule.
This is perfect for my work, plenty of magnification and a low enough bottom setting
for close range potshots.
Unlike PYD on here, I have NO love for Bushnell's 6500 series scopes.
Tried one a couple of years ago for 1000 yard competition...went back to the 6.5x20 Leupold.

I was at the local Cabela's the other day and was looking at some high priced glass. If you like the Minox line you should seriously take a peek through their new Euro line. I think it is better. The Zeiss are really good too but the big winner for another $200 or so was the Swarovski. That puppy was over a thou but for that size/weight in a 1" tube; wow. Sort of makes you think about thinning out the herd a bit for one of those....
