**Got my 2005 Whitetail 8 point Buck mount back, Finally!!!! **crap load of pics**

well it was a long long long wait, but when i picked it up from the taxidermist, it felt like x-mas all over again. My 8 Point Whitetail has come home

Brian Dobson (spl?) from Artistic Taxidermy in Edmonton did him up, and its true, its worth the wait. He does great work and is a World Champion with stats to prove it.

Did your Mrs. actually let you bring in the carcass and dump it on the floor? If that were me, it would be my head that would be mounted

LOL, yes she let me, took the pic of the cape/head, before putting it in the freezer, so i could take it to the taxidermist the next day.


funny thing about the wife, i didnt tell her i hung it in our bedroom, and its hung in line with my side of the bed, and the head looks towards the door as you come in........... she almost hit the floor when she entered the room the first time since i hung him up, after she turned the lights on.


i told her ill put glow in the dark tape on the eyes and make some teeth so when she sleeps at night, it will remind her that its my MONSTER buck

congrats, that looks awesome! taximdermist did a terrific job. I just about fell off my chair when I read your post though.... from laughing! my wife would mount my head beside it if I mounted it in our bedroom LOL

whats the measurement on the inside spread on that beast?

when i first seen that buck i said to myself "looks just like the world record hansen buck" just a few less tines

I'm guessing this isn't your first mount - I'm guessing most mount-virgins get the deer looking straight ahead...

What was the score, i think that's the widest 8 point Whitetail I've ever seen.

i dont know the score, id actually rather not know. But so far 4 people said its around 160, and 2 people said its past 160. i have no clue. inside spread i do believe is 25.5 inches
